Tricks: To add a prawn (live / dead) on the assist hook
Purpose: To imitate an octopus feeding on a prawn, or at least convince the fishes that the prawn is real, otherwise is equivalent to Hong Kong style fishing
Tips: Live prawn definitely makes a better chance
Tricks: To add a gulp or artificial lure on the assist hook
Purpose: To give the madai extra action or scent
Tips: Lure with scent (Gulp) seems to get a higher hit rate
Tricks: Plain madai with assist hook (Purely depends on your strokes)
Purpose: To mimic an octopus
Tips: A sensitive rod tends to bring the madai to life
